While our goal is to create an unmatched buying and selling experience in the Madison area, our mission expands far beyond that.

In September 2018, I (Ellie) was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. At age 25, I started feeling unusually tired. Month after month, the blood work showed that nothing was wrong. Finally, at age 27, a thyroid ultrasound showed that my lymph nodes were enlarged and the diagnosis followed shortly thereafter. I finished six rounds (12 treatments) of chemotherapy, and was declared cancer free in April 2019.

The research and treatment provided by the UW Carbone Cancer Center undoubtedly helped save my life. The Cancer Center has a permanent place in our hearts, and fighting cancer is at the forefront of The 608 Team's philanthropic efforts. 

We also give to causes related to housing, education, food security and animal welfare throughout the year. We believe in giving locally, in dollars and time, shopping local and supporting causes that change the lives of the people right around us.
